Counterflow Pellet Coolers
Biomass & Feed Cooling Systems
Counterflow Coolers
After pelleting, materials exit the pellet mill at elevated temperatures and moisture levels. Proper cooling is essential to stabilize the product, improve durability, and prepare it for storage, handling, or packaging.
CSE Bliss offers counterflow coolers manufactured by Yemmak, designed to efficiently reduce pellet temperature and moisture to near ambient conditions. These systems support consistent product quality and reliable downstream performance across biomass and agricultural processing operations.

Yemmak Counterflow Coolers
Counterflow coolers operate using a counter-current air flow principle, where ambient air passes through the product in the opposite direction of material flow. This process allows heat and moisture to be removed efficiently while maintaining product integrity.
As hot pellets enter the cooler, they are evenly distributed and exposed to controlled airflow. Warm, moisture-laden air is removed through an aspiration system, while cooled material is discharged at a controlled rate.
This process ensures uniform cooling, improved pellet durability, and optimal moisture levels, all of which are critical for maintaining product quality and minimizing fines during handling and packaging.
Equipment Features
Homogeneous Cooling
Even distribution of material ensures consistent temperature reduction throughout the product bed.
Controlled Retention Time
Adjustable level sensors allow operators to control how long material remains in the cooler for optimal results.
Improved Pellet Durability
Cooling stabilizes pellets, reducing breakage and minimizing dust generation during handling and packaging.
Moisture Optimization
Removes excess moisture while maintaining the correct humidity balance for product quality and shelf life.
Efficient Airflow Management
Counterflow air movement maximizes heat transfer efficiency while reducing energy usage.
Flexible Discharge Options
Available with grid, flap, or hydraulic discharge systems depending on product characteristics and flowability.
Wide Capacity Range
Systems available for operations ranging from moderate to high throughput production environments.
